I have been married for 8 years to my wonderful husband Lance and we have 2 amazing children. We have a daughter named Kaylin who is almost 5 years old and a son named Davis who is almost 2 years old. We have lived along the Gulf Coast most of our lives in the Fort Walton Beach/Destin area, but now call Pensacola our home after living here for 6 years. I received a degree in Public Relations from the University of West Florida in 2005. Out of college, I worked as a District Marketing Event Coordinator for Compass Bank. However, when our first child was born I chose to become a stay-at-home mom, and enjoyed every second of it the last 5 years!
My husband and I have been members at Olive Baptist Church for almost 6 years now. We have served in the education department for 2 years teaching Kindergarten together. While teaching Sunday school the last couple of years, I felt a call to teach permanently in our local school system. I went back to school in July of 2012 to obtain my certification to teach Elementary Education in Florida and am excited about my first year as a teacher here at Bennett Russell Elementary.
I know how precious your children are to you, and how important their education is to their future. It is my hope that they learn love, kindness, consideration, and respect for themselves and each other during their time in the classroom. We will be learning many things throughout the school year and can’t wait to share with you what we have been learning.
